A Tribute to Courage and Community

Held annually on the first Saturday in February, Pink the Rink is a signature event hosted by Oahe Capitals to honor those affected by cancer. This all-day, six-game showcase brings together athletes, families, and supporters in a shared commitment to remembrance, resilience, and hope.

Each Capitals player dedicates their game to someone who has battled cancer—whether in memory or in celebration. A special on-ice ceremony provides players the opportunity to publicly recognize these individuals and their enduring impact.

Beyond the rink, attendees are invited to participate in a variety of fundraising activities, including raffle baskets, themed concessions, merchandise sales, and interactive games such as shoot-a-puck and chuck-a-puck. All proceeds support cancer awareness and community outreach.

The Fort Pierre Expo Center is transformed for the occasion: players don pink jerseys, the venue is adorned in pink décor, and fans fill the stands in a powerful display of solidarity.

Oahe Hockey extends its sincere gratitude to our sponsors, volunteers, and fans. Your continued support enables us to stand with those affected by cancer and to foster a culture of compassion through sport.
