The Oahe Hockey Association is inviting all its parents and skaters, along with sponsors, supporters, and the public, to attend a special “all members” meeting. This one-hour meeting will take place Monday evening, August 19 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm in Amphitheater I of the Ramkota Hotel in Pierre.
At the meeting, attendees can learn about the state of hockey in Pierre and Ft. Pierre; meet the coaches for the upcoming season; and get updates on the program, including its organization, budget, and a timeline for the 2019-2020 season.
“This is a unique opportunity to get our members and supporters together to share insights on the current state of Capitals hockey,” said Oahe Hockey Assoc. Pres. Nathan Sanderson. “I’ve been involved with the program for almost ten years and although we’re often together at hockey games, this is the first time I can recall us meeting as an entire organization.”
Oahe Hockey board members will be available to speak with prospective skaters and their parents about available programs. New Varsity Head Coach and Director of Hockey Steve Steele will also address the group.
For the 2019-2020 hockey season, OHA is also moving to a new, online volunteer system known as DIBS. This system is used by most other South Dakota hockey associations and is based on credits for individual tasks, not hours.
DIBS makes signing up and tracking your credits easy. We will be emailing out a user guide closer to the start of the season.
Please review the policy below. Included is a crosswalk that shows how many credits the individual tasks are worth.
We are excited to announce the PAYSA pass. With the purchase of this pass, a skater (an OHA skater or an adult, for age-appropriate events) may attend unlimited drop-in or Huff and Puff events at PAYSA during the full fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). This pass does not cover camps, summer rec, open skate events, or any other specialty event - just drop-in and Huff and Puff at PAYSA (which currently costs $10 per session).
For more information head to the PAYSA Pass tab.

No drop in tonight, Thursday (7-18-19) due to the heat.
